Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Thursday accused the United States of playing politics by denying visa to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
Talking to media persons in New Delhi, he said, "Modi is an elected chief minister and had been to the US twice earlier. Now a new twist has been given, which smacks of politics by America."
He hailed the United Progressive Alliance government's decision to support Modi.
