The Bharatiya Janata Party has warned the government of a stormy second half if it does not table the Nanavati Commission report.

After the first half of Parliament's budget session ended on Thursday, it also demanded the restoration of tax rebates that were enjoyed by women, senior citizens and government employees.

"The government is well-advised to table the report on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots at the beginning of the session or else it will be difficult for the House to function smoothly," BJP spokesman V K Malhotra told reporters.

The government should be prepared to face hungama when the Finance Bill and the supplementary demands for grants are taken up, he warned.
