March 10, Thursday, marked the 46th anniversary of the Tibetan national uprising against the Chinese occupation of Tibet.
Exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, renewed his commitment not to seek the independence of Tibet from China.
He, however, said he should be left in charge of Tibetan affairs.
The Dalai Lama fled into exile to India in 1959 after a failed uprising against the Chinese rule.
He established his government-in-exile in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
