5 die in China bridge collapse

At least five people were killed and 90 injured when a floating bridge at a tourist spot collapsed on Sunday, reports Xinhua.

The incident occurred in the West Zhejiang Canyon in Lin'an, a city south of Shanghai, it said.

The victims were all from a nearby city of Jintan, and "the overturning may have been caused by the tourists swinging" the bridge, Xinhua said.

The injured were taken to hospital.
