Former Indian cricket skipper Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, in police remand in connection with a poaching case, was on Monday hospitalised after he complained of chest pain.
"Pataudi was admitted in the Civil Hospital in Jhajhar at around 0930 IST and doctors were examining him," Jhajjar Superintendent of Police Hanif Qureshi said.
He said the police were keen to produce him in court as soon as possible and would seek permission from the doctors to do so.
After having spent two days in police remand following his surrender before a Jhajjar court on Saturday, the former Indian cricket captain was to be presented in court on Monday.
Pataudi was earlier taken to his residence in Delhi, from where the registration certificate of the Maruti Gypsy allegedly used in the hunting was recovered.
Pataudi was brought to his residence in the posh Vasant Vihar residence by a team of Jhajjar police.
The RC of the Maruti Gypsy was recovered from there, police sources said. The vehicle, registered in Pataudi's name, was earlier impounded from the premises.
