Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will meet Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf in New York in September on the sideline of the United Nations General Assembly session.
The meeting in New York was agreed to during a telephonic conversation Musharraf had with Singh on Friday.
Musharraf telephoned and had a "cordial" 10-minute conversation on bilateral relations, the Prime Minister's Media Adviser Sanjaya Baru said.
Musharraf called the prime minister to express sympathy and concern over the death and destruction in Maharashtra caused by heavy rains, Baru said.
Singh and Musharraf had met for the first time on the sideline of UN General Assembly session in New York in September last year. The last meeting between them had taken place in Delhi when Musharraf paid a visit during Pakistan's cricket tour of India.
