London blasts: 9 more held

British police on Thursday arrested nine men in south London [ Images ] in connection with the investigation into the failed attacks on the city last week.

The men were arrested under the Terrorism [ Images ] Act.

The arrests came as investigators were questioning one of the would-be bombers Yasin Hassan Omar, picked up on Wednesday in Birmingham.

A hunt for three of the bombers involved in the failed attacks is continuing. In a related development, three women were detained at Stockwell on suspicion of harbouring offenders connected with the attempted bombings.
