Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh spokesperson Ram Madhav on Wednesday said the RSS does not welcome any unsolicited advise from the Bharatiya Janata Party's allies in the National Democratic Alliance.
Speaking to rediff.com on Wednesday he said that it would be better if leaders like George Fernandes do not meddle into the RSS and BJP affairs.
"Last thing that we need is unsolicited advice from leaders who have nothing to do with RSS. This kind of advice may further aggravate the situation," he said.
George Fernandes, while supporting Advani in the stand-off between the BJP and the RSS, had criticised the RSS and asked the organisation to confine itself to its socio-cultural activities rather than assume a political role.
"This is an ideological issue between the RSS and BJP," Ram Madhav said.
The warning is seen as an attempt to forewarn the BJP leadership of the consequences in case it tries to build up the case in favour of Advani with outside support.
He, however, declined to comment if RSS leaders had sought the resignation of Advani during their meeting with him on Monday morning. "I am not saying anything on that. Whatever we had to say we have said already," he added.
