Former Union Minister Sunil Dutt's daughter Priya Dutt, who was on Friday named Congress candidate for Mumbai Northwest Lok Sabha constituency, said she has been entrusted with a "very big responsibility".
She said she hoped her actor brother Sanjay will help her to shoulder it.
"I think I would need him 100 per cent. After my father, it is him (Sanjay Dutt). My father has always been a pillar of strength for everyone in the family and after him it is my brother," Priya said.
And she can expect full support from her brother.
"I, as an elder brother, am always there to guide her in the right path like the path my father showed us. I would just be a pillar of strength and be there for her all the time...
I would like to do that for her and the legacy of my father," he told NDTV.
Priya said Sunil Dutt, who died on May 25, was "larger than life and his legacy is huge ... it is a very big responsibility to carry on his work.
Dutt represented the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha constituency.
"We see ourselves as workers who have been taught by him and we have to carry that forward," she said.
