The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday released its manifesto for the Jharkhand assembly polls promising 60 per cent budget allocation for agriculture and village development and an anti-extremism drive.

The manifesto said the party will go to the roots of extremism and conduct conditional peace talks with the banned outfits.

BJP general secretary Rajnath Singh, the party's pointman for the Jharkhand polls, said the focus will be on farmers because growth in all sectors is linked to agriculture. "If voted to power, we would set-up a commission to formulate a comprehensive plan to increase agricultural production within a year," he said.

Efforts will also be made to minimise corruption, set up special courts to deal with pending cases and make the vigilance department more accountable, he added.

The party, he said, has chalked a special plan -- Ratnakar Programme -- to bring Naxalites into the mainstream.
