The toll in the December 26 Tsunami [ Images ] disaster in Asia has risen to nearly 160,000.

Authorities in Indonesia, the worst hit, said 107,039 died from the tsunami, while 15,420 remain unaccounted for.

In Sri Lanka [ Images ], 30,680 were confirmed killed, the government said. Another 4,883 people were still missing.

In India [ Images ] the official toll crossed 10,000, with the number of missing at 5,689.

In Thailand the toll stood at 5,300.
