The Andhra Pradesh State Forensic Science Laboratory has informed Jammu and Kashmir police that the girl featured in the pornographic video compact disc is not Miss Jammu Anara Gupta.

Revealing this to media persons in Hyderabad on Wednesday, APSFL director Dr K P C Gandhi said the experts had examined the CD in the presence of a J&K police team.

It may be recalled that the J&K police had seized a large number of porn CDs in Jammu, which allegedly featured the beauty queen.

The police interrogated the girl and her mother and brothers.

She was stated to have confessed to her crime.

The police registered a case and arrested Anara and a few others.

Later, she denied her role in the porn CD and alleged that the police had forced her to confess to a crime she did not commit.

She had also accused the police of keeping her and her family members in illegal confinement for 12 days.

The J&K government had shifted Jammu superintendent of police Deepak Salathia and his deputy, Tanveer Jilani, after Anara spoke to the media while in custody.

An inspector and some constables were also suspended.

Anara has threatened to sue the J&K police for defamation and claim damages of Rs 1 cr.

Her mother petitioned the National Human Rights Commission and National Commission for Women alleging police torture and illegal confinement.

She also sought transfer of the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
