The Bombay high court on Tuesday dismissed a plea of Rasiklal Dhariwal, owner of Manikchand Gutka, urging for cancellation of a non-bailable warrant issued by a lower court against him for failing to appear in a case of alleged nexus with underworld.
The court, however, adjourned to February 28 the plea of Jagdish Joshi, owner of Goa Gutka, for cancellation of an NBW on the same charges as he offered to appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation on February 25.
Joshi's lawyer Sirish Gupte told the court that his client would return from the United Arab Emirates on February 24 and appear before the CBI the next day.
Both had challenged the lower court's decision to issue warrants against them.
