Pakistan on Monday termed as 'incorrect' and 'unrealistic' a report in the Time magazine that the US is investigating whether the disgraced scientist Dr Abdul Qadar Khan sold nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries.
"The Time magazine has distorted the facts to make it sensational," Information Minister of Pakistan Sheikh Rashid Ahmed told Geo television.
Khan admitted he provided information to three countries, but the Time story is 'incorrect', he said.
"We have solved Khan's issue and he will not be handed over to any country," Rashid said.
Rashid also denied the magazine's charge that uranium hexafluride gas cylinders were missing from the Kahuta Research Laboratories.
"We have checked all the records and no cylinder is missing," he said.
Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesman Masood Khan told media persons that the story is a 'rehash of several past stories'.
"Pakistan has not closed its investigations against proliferators. If new fresh leads emerge we would check them out," he said.
