The most 'global' of Indian states is contemplating banning live performances -- going by what Chief Minister Dharam Singh announced in the legislative assembly on Thursday.
Saying that Western music performances in the state's discotheques, restaurants, pubs and bars are corrupting the youth, Singh vowed to amend the law to curb the 'menace'.
"There is no second opinion that live bands are having a negative impact and spoiling the younger generation," he said.
