There was a bomb hoax at the Hyderabad's Hitec City (Cyber Pearls Towers) on Saturday morning.

Cyberabad police station and Hitec City staff received telephone calls around 0830 IST that a bomb was planted in the Cyber Pearls Towers.

A Cyberabad police team led by inspector Jairam, along with bomb disposal squad, combed the premises for six hours.

About 2,500 IT professionals work in the Cyber Pearls Towers. The multi-storied building was evacuated and all the employees working in the morning shift waited outside as the search was conducted. The call turned out to be hoax.

Following the terror attack at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, security has been tightened at Hitec City and other places housing multi-national companies as well as the defence and nuclear installations, universities and research institutions and other central offices and central public sector undertakings in the state capital and outskirts.
