Advani to remain Leader of Opposition in Parliament

Setting at rest speculation about his continuance as Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, outgoing Bharatiya Janata Party [ Images ] president Lal Kishenchand Advani [ Images ] on Saturday said the responsibility was still with him.

"Even now, a very important office is still with me...in Parliament, my responsibility is very much there," he told a press conference when asked about his future plans.

"I have been a worker of the party from the beginning and will continue to be so irrespective of the positions I hold," he said.

Asked about changes in the party set up, Advani said it was for the new President to decide.
