Dismissing reports that the terror infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir has been destroyed by the October 8 quake, the army Friday said that militant infiltration into Jammu and Kashmir "is the same as before".
"Reports of the entire terror infrastructure having been destroyed in the quake are wrong. It has been damaged to some
extent only and infiltration into J&K is as it was before," senior army officials said.
The temblor caused massive destruction in villages on both sides of the Line of Control, but had no impact on militants infiltrating from across the border, they said.
They said militant activities continued in the state with the twin aim of trying to demonstrate their presence and to hamper development.
