Former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on Friday left the venue of the Bharatiya Janata Party national convention mid-way owing to 'exertion', party sources said.
A team of doctors was attending on the BJP stalwart and he would later undergo a thorough medical check-up, they said.
Vajpayee was on the stage and scheduled to deliver his concluding speech at the three-day convention but had to be shifted to the nearby Rang Sharda hotel after he complained of tiredness, they said.
The chances of his delivering his concluding address were minimal, they said.
