Karnataka police on Friday said they have got a letter warning of bomb attacks at Chief Minister N Dharam Singh's residence and a five-star hotel in Bangalore.

The letter, from a man identified only as Moinuddin, claimed suicide bombers will blow themselves up at the hotel and later at the chief minister's residence and that it will be 'one of the most systematic executions ever to take place in the country'.

The letter, addressed to the chief minister and the police commissioner, had also been faxed to a newspaper office.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) M C Narayana Gowda said the police had also received the letter.

"These areas (such as the chief minister's residence) are well protected," he said.
