As police personnel were trying to cope with the situation following a suspected terrorist attack on Wednesday, families of scientists were seen pouring out their anger at police blaming security failure for the incident at the Indian Institute of Science campus in Bangalore.

At a private hospital where one of the IISc Bangalore scientists, Professor Vijaya Chandra, and an assistant professor of IIM Lucknow, Sonia, have been admitted, police had to face the ire of affected family members and their friends.

One of the IISC staff, a close associate of Chandra's family was seen arguing with police that despite being aware that IISc was a target for an attack, proper security cover had not been provided.

"Had the police taken preventive measures, the incident would not have occurred", he was heard complaining in a fit of rage. However, top police officials camping at the hospital, pacified them.

None of the IISc staff were willing to interact with scribes and said "please go away".
