Condemning the terror attack at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, the Communist Party of India-Marxist on Thursday said the Centre, while working out a strategy to counter terror, must consider the fact that terrorist groups were choosing diverse targets.
'The Bangalore incident is a clear indication that the terrorist groups are diversifying their targets,' a CPI-M Politburo said in a statement.
"The central government and the security forces will have to take this into account when working out a strategy to counter terror," it said.
The party also conveyed its sympathy to the family members of retired IIT Professor M C Puri, who was killed.
