The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday accused the United Progressive Alliance government of not having an 'integrated foreign policy', saying it had complicated India's relations with neighbouring countries.
In a resolution on foreign affairs adopted on the second day of the party's national executive meet in Mumbai, it observed that the Manmohan Singh government had no vision with regard to foreign policy and was commiting mistakes in international relations, costing the country dearly.
"This government's errors of judgement have complicated our relations with neighbours and it is now compounding those mistakes by repeating them. These failures are on several fronts and are cumulative in their consequences," the party cautioned.
In a three-page resolution, the BJP has stated that encouraged by the UPA's attitude, Pakistan is striving for strategic parity with India. It has also said that turmoil and conflict are persisting in Nepal and Sri Lanka, while Bangladesh has become a 'crucible of terrorism', fast emerging as an alternative base for a proxy war against India.
