The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday revealed that Riyaz Siddiqui, an accused in the 1995 Pradeep Jain murder case, was also wanted by the agency for his alleged involvement in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, which claimed 257 lives and left hundreds wounded.

CBI prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam informed Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act court Judge P D Kode that the agency would seek Siddiqui's custody from the anti-terrorist squad of Mumbai police to find his role in the serial blasts which came to the notice during his interrogation by the ATS officials in the Jain murder case.
CBI DIG O P Chatwal informed the court that he would soon meet ATS officials to seek Siddiqui's custody.
The Judge asked the CBI to inform the concerned TADA court of their need to interrogate Siddiqui.
The Jain murder case is being tried by another TADA court presided over by Justice Pradeep Bavkar.
Extradited gangster Abu Salem is charged with ordering the murder of Jain when he refused to sell his expensive property to a nominee of Salem at a throwaway price.
Three people, including Siddiqui, were arrested after ATS officials interrogated Salem in connection with the Jain murder case.
Salem along with all three accused - Siddiqui, Mehdi Hassan and Naeem Khan - are in ATS custody till January three.
