Expressing shock over the rape and murder of a call centre employee, Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharm Singh Saturday directed the state police to step up vigil.
Singh, who is in the midst of electioneering for the coming zilla and taluk panchayat polls, directed police to initiate measures to check recurrence of such incidents, official sources said.
Singh offered his condolences to the family of Prathiba, who was raped and murdered allegedly by a driver of the call centre which had employed her.
