Maintaining his stand on Jagat Singh's visit to Iraq, Haryana Minister and former Indian Youth Congress chief Randeep Singh Surjewala Friday said the youth wing of the party never authorised anyone to work in the oil-rich country.

"My stand is clear that nobody was authorised ever to work in Iraq or send any delegation in that country," Surjewala told PTI over phone in Chandigarh.

On the former Union Minister Natwar Singh son's claim before the Enforcement Directorate Friday that his visit to Iraq was officially sanctioned by Surjewala, the then IYC chief, the minister said, "Jagat Singh was himself on record saying that he went to Iraq in his personal capacity."

"On his (Jagat's) change of stand, I have nothing further to say. I stand by what I have said," he said adding, "tapes are with the media where Jagat himself was on record saying he went to Iraq in his personal capacity."
