Suspended Bharatiya Janata Party leader Uma Bharti on Sunday said she had sent a reply to the show cause notice issued to her by the party for her conduct during the leadership change in Madhya Pradesh.
Bharti, who has been consistently attacking the BJP leadership over the selection of Shivraj Singh Chouhan as chief minister, told reporters at Sadalatpur that she had sent a five-page reply to the party.
The fiery sanyasin, however, did not disclose contents of her reply or the mode by which she despatched the letter.
Bharti, credited with BJP's landslide victory in Madhya Pradesh, was suspended from the party by the Central Parliamentary Board for 'her conduct and statements' in the wake of recent change of guard in the state.
After her suspension on November 30, the party issued a show cause notice to Bharti, charging her with deliberately defaming the BJP and its leaders through statements in the print and electronic media and asked her to reply why she should not be expelled.
