Natwar comes knocking at 7, Race Course

Former External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday evening at the latter's residence.

In the meeting that lasted over 40 minutes, Natwar explained his position to Dr Singh about the allegations made by former ambassador of India to Croatia Aniel Mathrani.

Natwar left the prime minister's residence without meeting media persons, who had been waiting to speak with him.

The prime minister's office denied that Natwar had offered to resign.

Speaking to rediff.com, a PMO senior official said the meeting was routine in nature and there was no room for speculation.
