The United States has said it was working closely with the Bangladeshi government to combat terrorism and added 'no cause justifies such terrorist acts', referring to the recent bombings across that country.
"We work closely with Bangladesh on matters of combating terrorism and I think that we're in full agreement on the need to fight terrorism," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said on Tuesday.
Referring to the blasts, he said the US supported Bangladesh in its acts to punish those guilty.
"I know the Bangladeshi government is working very hard to identify the individuals responsible for these acts and certainly we stand with them as they search for these individuals and ultimately hold them to account for what they've done," McCormack told reporters.
"We've made it very, very clear that there is no cause, there's no political agenda that justifies the use of terrorism and the killing of innocents," the spokesman said.
He also repeated America's condemnation of the bombings.
