Pakistan on Thursday condemned the string of bomb blasts in Bangladesh which killed 2 persons and injured at least 140, saying they were a 'vicious act of terrorism.'
"This vicious act of terrorism is an attempt to create panic among the peace loving populace of Bangladesh and create a law and order situation in the country," a statement issued by the Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman said in Islamabad.
The government of Pakistan condemns the series of blasts which occurred across Bangladesh on Wednesday, causing loss of precious lives, injuries to scores of civilians and damage to properties across the country, the statement said.

The government of Pakistan hopes that the perpetrators of this 'heinous crime' will soon be apprehended and brought to justice, it added.
Over 400 small bombs, suspected to have been planted by the banned Jamiat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh, exploded near simultaneously in almost all Bangladeshi districts killing 2 persons, including a child, and injuring at least 140.
