Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Madan Lal Khurana on Thursday said he was finding it difficult to continue under party president Lal Kishenchand Advani's leadership.

Khurana had only a month ago written to Advani demanding his resignation. He had alleged that the party had deviated from its ideology and was being run like a 'private limited company'.

Khurana said he will decide his future plans in consultation with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leadership.

I no longer can work under the people around Advani who sit in air-conditioned rooms and influence decisions of the party president," the former Delhi chief minister said without naming anybody.

He alleged that due to the 'coterie' around Advani, the BJP was witnessing a decline. "For our entire life, we have nourished the party in an effort to strengthen it. I am hurt to see its downfall," Khurana said.

Khurana, who recently quit as Rajasthan governor to return to active politics in Delhi late last year, said leaders with mass following in the party were not only being sidelined but humiliated.
