Heavy rains continued to pound Raigad district of Maharashtra on Monday with authorities evacuating 800 people from three villages as a precautionary measure as the death toll in this Konkan belt rose to 180 with the recovery of 6 more bodies, police said.

About 800 people residing in Chochinde, Muthavali and Vanikond villages have been shifted to safer places due to fear of landslides, police said.
