A joint statement issued by India and Pakistan will reflect the progress made between the two countries on all issues, including Kashmir, during the talks held on Sunday, Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri said.
Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh 'put their views forcefully' during the talks, Kasuri said.
He said Musharraf had invited United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Bharatiya Janata Party president Lal Kishenchand Advani to visit Pakistan.
Kasuri also urged the media from both countries not to put 'spin' on their stories and avoid 'wild headlines'.
Advising the media not to go for 'one-upmanship', Kasuri said that 'spin' on stories arrested the forward movement between India and Pakistan. The Pakistan foreign minister urged media persons to exercise restraint as responsible members of the civil society.
He said past experience had shown that when things were going well, the media put 'certain spin', which led to failure of the peace process.
