Authorities are considering running the second bus to Muzaffarabad from the border town of Uri instead of Srinagar to minimise security risks, official sources said on Friday.
Uri, being situated in a highly-sanitised zone and having virtually zero militant presence, is "much safer". The security cost would be much lower if the bus starts its journey from Uri, they added.
Four militant outfits -- Al Nasreen, Al Arifeen, the Save Kashmir Movement and Farzandan-e-Millat, which claimed responsibility for the April 6 attack on the tourist reception center -- have reportedly issued a threat to the passengers of the second bus too.
However, the state government is keen on running the service from Srinagar, the sources said.
