Security has been tightened at Ajmer ahead of Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's visit to the dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti on April 16.

The dargah would be vacated and searched thoroughly before Musharraf arrives and it would be closed for the public till his departure, police sources said on Thursday.

Musharraf, heading a 45-member delegation, will fly straight to Ajmer on April 16 before he begins the official part of his visit.

Musharraf, who had to skip a visit to the dargah after the Agra Summit in 2001, will be accompanied by his wife Sehba and will land in Jaipur on April 16 morning.

From there he will go by helicopter to Ajmer for paying obeisance at the dargah. Members of the Dargah Khadims Organisation Anjuman and Dargah Committee will receive Musharraf, dargah sources said.

Pakistan cricket team captain Inzamam Ul Haq is likely to accompany Musharraf to the dargah, sources added.
