The moderate faction of the All-Parties Hurriyat Conference on Thursday said it will not be able to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh before April 17, when a four-member delegation of the amalgam will meet Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf.
New Delhi had suggested April 14 or 15 for a meeting between the APHC and the PM, but Hurriyat Conference representatives will be reaching Delhi only on April 16.
"We are open for a meeting (with Singh) after April 17," Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq told reporters after an emergency meeting of the executive council of the amalgam in Srinagar.
The Hurriyat chairman also announced that a four-member delegation, comprising members of the executive council, will meet Musharraf.
"Abdul Gani Bhat, Maulana Mohammad Abbas Ansari, Bilal Gani Lone and myself will form the delegation," he added.
The Mirwaiz said the Hurriyat Conference will put forth its stand on the Kashmir issue to the Pakistani president, who will be in the capital to watch the final one-day match of the ongoing Indo-Pak cricket series on Sunday.
He appealed to all separatist camps to unite at this 'crucial juncture of history' so that the voice of the people can be represented unanimously.
"We also wish that the executive council of the erstwhile undivided Hurriyat is restored before moving ahead on the path of dialogue," he said.
Apparently referring to the leader of the hard line faction, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, the moderate leader said, "Let us forget the past and unite."
"The Hurriyat wants to emphasise that an honourable and just solution to the Kashmir issue is not possible without the inclusion of the representatives of Kashmiris in the dialogue process," Mirwaiz said.
"Those who have been running the movement politically, diplomatically and militarily have to be taken into confidence," he added.
