PM accepts Wen's invite to visit China

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Monday invited Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh [ Images ] to visit China at a mutually convenient time.

Dr Singh accepted the invitation.

The India [ Images ]n side reiterated the invitation to Chinese President Hu Jintao to visit India.

Dates for Hu's visit will be decided through diplomatic channels, a joint statement issued after talks between Dr Singh and Wen said.

Describing Wen's visit as "highly successful", the statement said it marked a new level of India-China relationship and "opened a new chapter" in the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.
