The Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday filed the charge sheet against three accused in the Satyendra Dubey murder case.
A CBI team probing the case arrived from New Delhi on Friday morning to submit the charge sheet in the court of Special Judicial Magistrate Sanjay Singh in Patna.
The designated CBI judge took cognizance of the charge sheet and issued processes against the accused - Pinku Ravidas, Mantu Kumar and Udai Kumar, who are in judicial custody - for their production before him sometime next week.
National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) project manager Satyendra Dubey was shot dead on November 27, 2003 while returning to his residence in Gaya after alighting from a train from Varanasi.
The case had created a furore across the country after it came to light that Dubey had written a letter to then prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee citing irregularities in the Golden Quadrilateral Project.
The CBI says that Dubey was murdered when he resisted robbers.
