Ending months of speculation, Uttaranchal Chief Minister N D Tiwari on Thursday said he will be ready to bow out if the Congress high command so desires.

"I met Congress president Sonia Gandhi [ Images ] today and told her that if she and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [ Images ] think that there is a need for a change of leadership in the state, I will have no objection to it," Tiwari told reporters after a lengthy
meeting with Sonia.
