Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is believed to have held discussions with Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar and Pranab Mukherjee, chief mediator on behalf of the Congress, in a bid to resolve the stalemate over who would be the chief minister of Maharashtra.
