The police in Ghaziabad have found 25 rockets, some of them live, and three rocket launchers in a scrap yard in a local steel factory.
Ten labourers were killed and 15 injured in a blast in this factory on Thursday.
A factory official told the police that the scrap arrived from Iran via Kandla port in Gujarat, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Meerut, Chandrika Rai said.
However, no Iranian marks were found on the rockets. The live rockets were defused by a bomb disposal squad.
Forensic experts from Delhi and Agra have also been summoned.
Rai said the explosives were found in the first consignment of the scrap when it was being unloaded at the factory in the Sahibabad industrial area in Uttar Pradesh.
The district administration as order an interim-relief of Rs 10,000 to the families of those killed in the blast.
