Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi's counsel on Tuesday filed an application before the first class magistrate court in Kanchipuram seeking copies of the first information report for arguing the seer's bail petition, which will come up at the Madras high court on Wednesday.
Submitting the application before Magistrate G Uttamaraj, the counsel said he had earlier filed an application seeking certain facilities like hospitalisation and permission to conduct pujas when the seer was arrested.

Last week the Shankaracharya was remanded to judicial custody at Vellore Prison till November 26 after he was arrested in connection with a murder case.
