The dinner meeting was supposed to take place on Tuesday night at a five-star hotel in suburban Andheri in Mumbai.

Thackeray told a TV channel that he would not like to discuss politics with Vajpayee and other senior BJP leaders over dinner. "I wish to talk to Vajpayeeji alone, and if required I would visit him in Delhi and discuss." Thackeray said.
