Even as they continued the interrogation of Akhtar Hussain Qutbuddin Ahmed, who was deported from Dubai for allegedly trying to sell Indian nuclear secrets, security agencies are coming to the conclusion that he is a 'fraud' who wanted to make a quick buck.
The 35-year-old businessman, who owns a general merchant shop in Dubai, told interrogators that he had been visiting some embassies in the United Arab Emirates. He also claimed to have approached the UAE mission in India two years back, sources said.

Akhtar, who continues to be detained at Mumbai's Sahar International airport, was on Tuesday again questioned this time by a new team of security officials sent from Delhi.
