Television personality Mandira Bedi says she has an offer to act in a television serial in Pakistan and indicated that she would give it thought after September.
Bedi said a couple of Pakistani actors approached her to act in a serial when she visited the neighbouring country to watch the recent cricket series between India and Pakistan.
"I am busy till September [when the ICC Champions Trophy will be played in England]," said Bedi, who is doing promos for the SET MAX television channel's Extraaa Innings show on cricket.
Bedi, who is promoting women's cricket, has appeared earlier in soaps on Indian television. She said she is looking for a "dynamic role" -- like the one she played in the television serial Shanti nine years ago.
Though she admits to receiving offers aplenty, Bedi said she would be selective and choose roles like Shanti that catapulted her to fame. "Perhaps, I did not make the right choices [after Shanti]," she said.
Bedi, who is also active in theatre, said her ambition was to direct a movie. She said everything happened for her suddenly, be it the role in Shanti or the stint in Extraaa Innings. She is currently looking forward to the release next month of M J Ramanan's Divorce, in which she plays the lead role of a television journalist and mother.
