"There is neither any confrontation [with Lalu] nor any understanding [for the October assembly polls]. Our alliance was for the Lok Sabha polls and we shall consider it [again] at the time of Bihar assembly elections. Where have I said that I will go it alone and not align with Lalu," Paswan said at a press conference in New Delhi.

Asked as to what he meant by his call to party workers in Patna on Wednesday to work hard in all 243 assembly seats in Bihar, he said it was a call to prepare his party for the forthcoming election. "There is nothing wrong in it. There are no differences with anyone," he said.

Addressing partymen in Patna, Paswan had accused the RJD of betrayal and had charged that several minister in the Rabri Devi government had worked to ensure the defeat of LJP candidates in the Lok Sabha election.
