Priyanka Vadra and Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday virtually launched the Congress' election campaign from Amethi, their mother and party president Sonia Gandhi's Lok Sabha constituency.
The two, on their first joint visit to the constituency, sought to debunk the National Democratic Alliance's claims that there was a "feel-good" atmosphere in the country. "You shall find out in two months if the 'feel good' is really good or not," Rahul said.
"I really don't think there is any feel good factor," Priyanka said, adding, however, that it was her personal view.
Asked about his political ambitions, Rahul said, "I am not averse to politics, but that does not mean I am going to join politics."
He said one could not "really be pressurised" on the issue. "Both my sister and I do think about it and we discuss it as well, but we have not made any decision about it," he said.
Priyanka said, "Why should we go by anyone else's definition... We have to go by what is inside us, what motivates us."
The two, on a three-day visit to the constituency, asked Congress workers to be ready for polls.
Their mother had recently toured western Uttar Pradesh.
