Mamata Banerjee gets Coal and Mines

Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee, who has been minister without portfolio since September 8, 2003, was on Thursday given charge of Coal and Mines in the Union government.

The ministries were being held by Karia Munda and Ramesh Bais, respectively. Munda is likely to be given the Non-Conventional Energy portfolio.
