Four army soldiers were killed and six wounded in a landmine explosion on the Bejibehara-Pahalgam road near Saller in Anantnag district, Kashmir, early Thursday.

They were members of a road opening party involved in clearing landmines and improvised explosive devices, police said.

No one has claimed responsibility for the blast.

Senior army and police officers have reached the spot, sources said.
