A special Central Bureau of Investigation court in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Friday issued production warrants against three persons, including the main accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper case, Abdul Karim Telgi in the Dhar fake stamp paper case.
The court has directed CBI to produce the three accused on December 31.
The production warrants were issued by the special CBI judge, S B Verma, following submission of chargesheet against the accused persons with regard to selling of fake stamp paper in Dhar district, CBI advocate Hemant Shukla said.
Besides Telgi, the warrants were also issued against Shabeer Ahmed and one Mansoor, he said.
It can be recalled that Telgi had spread his stamp paper network in the Malwa area by opening an office in the name of Malwa Enterprises in Indore.
Following disclosure of the stamp paper scam, police raided the office and arrested some of the employees. But the main accused, who were running the show on behalf of Telgi, managed to escape.
They were later arrested by the police.
